Pinterest has over 400 million users worldwide. The platform is the number one hub for DIY projects, art, fashion, travel, hair inspiration and so much more. Launched in 2010, the platform has expanded into the lives of Creators looking to inspire their audiences, Gen Z folks staying on top of the next trend, and parents looking for creative activities for their children during and after the Pandemic lockdown. The platform has been very progressive and committed to creating a more inclusive company with an impressive 50% of their “Pinployees” being women in the first quarter of 2021.
The BYP team sat down with Strategic Partnership Manager Hannah Ngkane (London, England), Griselda Welsing, Senior Partner Manager and Co-President of Blackboard EMEA (Hamburg, Germany), and Sandrine Nzenza, Senior Business Recruiter (Dublin, Ireland) to discuss their work and experiences as Black women in tech.
