In this virtual event our speakers will be discussing how they got into the industry, the challenges of working in HR as a black person in the UK, and sharing their views on what skills the industry demands today.
If you’re a black professional working in HR, at any level, join this event to meet new peers but also share your experiences.
HR can be a demanding and often mentally draining role. Sharing practice and offering advice on how to succeed in an all-encompassing job can be a huge value.

Meet the speakers:
Sola is a strategic human resource professional with focus on talent acquisition and Talent management. He has extensive years of experience that span across Consulting, Financial Services and the Manufacturing sectors.
Currently, he leads the EMEA Talent Acquisition team for a fortune 500 company in the United Kingdom. He holds an MBA and also a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources International (SPHRi). Sola is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion, and talent development.
Jenelle is an HR professional with 9+ years’ experience working in generalist roles, delivering HR solutions and engaging in strong HR business partnership. She has worked in both start-ups and established companies across a diverse range of industries including technology, logistics, law, and FMCG. Outside of this she is also a career coach helping mid-level professionals get into management and increase their seniority in a new company.
Samuel is a personable and internationally-certified talent management professional, with strategic and operational level work experience in consulting and financial services. He has designed and executed several people-centric solutions with leading organisations across diverse sector and industries like Big 4 Consulting, FMCG, Retail-Chain stores, Hospitality, Banking, Engineering, Information Technology, Media, Education, Agriculture etc.
Samuel is passionate about talent development, diversity and inclusion (racial, gender and disability), and discussing contemporary workplace issues.
