Meet the Speakers

Soinda Keen – Vice President, Software Engineer, Platform Solutions
Soinda is a Vice President Software Engineer in the Engineering Excellence team, within the Platform Solutions division. She is responsible for the development of tooling to measure and improve code quality and project hygiene across her division. She joined Goldman Sachs as an intern in 2014, before re-joining in 2016 as an analyst. Prior to joining the firm, Soinda earned her BSc (Hons) in Mathematics at the University of Bath.
Outside of her role, Soinda advocates for increasing representation within the technology sector. She is a volunteer CodeFirst: Girls (CF: G) instructor, where she leads technology training courses to women and non-binary participants. She has also volunteered as a mentor with Coding Black Females.
She enjoys long-distance running and Hot Yoga.

Babafikayomi Bob-Soile – Vice President, Middleware Engineer, Core Engineering
Baba is an Engineering Vice-President in the Middleware Engineering team under the Core Engineering division and a co-head of the EMEA Black Engineer’s Network Recruitment Pillar. He joined the firm in 2017 as an analyst in the Engineering division in his current team where he we works on developing and supporting platforms used by other engineers in the firm for data management and distribution. Prior to joining the firm, Baba earned a BA and MEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from University of Cambridge. Baba spends his free time playing basketball, listening to music, attending concerts and reading.

David Obazuaye – Vice President, Global Market Engineer, Global Banking & Markets
David is a Vice President Software Engineer in Global Markets Engineering at Goldman Sachs and is based in London. His responsibilities include building sales and execution trading applications that drive the global Equities trading business and serve their clients.
Prior to his current role, he spent 4 years in the Market and Liquidity Risk Technology teams at Goldman Sachs. He’s a graduate from the University of Bath with a degree in Computer Science whose interests lie in football (Manchester United supporter) as well as studying the application of cryptocurrencies & blockchain technology.
