Meet the speakers:
Robert is a Field Service Instructor for North & South America at Danaher’s Operating Company Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, and a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Council. He joined the company in November 2013 as Field Service Engineer, providing daily service support to existing customer base. In his current role Robert is a coach, mentor, instructor, and evaluator providing leadership, guidance and feedback to Field Service Engineers.
Robert earned a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Georgia and an Associated Degree in Business Administration from Harvard University. He is also a Nigerian national curler, youth leadership coach, and a musician & artist at heart.
Hara Lewis is a global business, brand, and content marketer with over 18 years of experience in media marketing strategy. She currently leads Employer Brand Media and Insights at Danaher Corporation, where she focuses on the awareness, growth, and measurement of Danaher’s Talent Brand through scaled multimedia campaigns and audience insights. Prior to joining Danaher, Hara was a Senior Talent Brand Solutions Consultant at LinkedIn where she worked with technology clients on employer brand media strategies to reach, engage and hire talent across diverse industries.
Passionate about connecting businesses to their best audiences, Hara has spent her career creating marketing experiences that integrate compelling insights with the power of discovery. She has worked across the publishing, entertainment, market research and tech industries at global companies including Nickelodeon, Nielsen, and Facebook. She also spent several years working in London, where she had the unique opportunity to support Nielsen’s brand presence across Europe and at the London 2012 Olympics.
Nikki Soares – Global Talent Acquisition Leader, Cytiva
Nikki is the Global Talent Acquisition Leader for Cytiva, part of the Danaher family of operating companies. She joined the company in December 2019 to lead recruiting strategy and execution for this global provider of technologies and services that advance and accelerate the development and manufacture of therapeutics.
Nikki first entered the life sciences industry through Life Technologies, which was later acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific. She held various roles on their talent acquisition leadership team over her seven-year tenure there, establishing university relations, diversity recruiting programs, and regional deployment teams.
Cicely Washington, Director DBSL, Global Marketing & Strategic Planning, Cepheid
Cicely is a Biotechnology career professional with over 16 years of experience in the industry; specifically, in molecular diagnostics. Currently, she is a Marketing Business Leader at Cepheid, where she manages the implementation of business processes to drive innovation and growth.
Cicely’s previous employment includes, operations for cross functional teams responsible for the development and sustainability of a $100M product portfolio for illumina; Lab Manager at Abbott, Scientist at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Cicely holds an undergraduate degree from Brown University in Chemical Engineering, a Master’s of Engineering from Virginia Tech, a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Nebraska University, Lincoln, and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
